Singer-songwriter Derald Conway who is also a former James Cleveland Singer, former lead vocalist for the Interscope Records group Truth INC & the singing voice of Robert Townsend in the film "The Five Heartbeats" is set to release his new single in several years on indie label Dreamin' Out Loud Entertainment.

The single, "Why?", will be released on March 25, 2022.

Derald, having showcased his talents at every major arena in the U.S., while touring abroad with the likes of Elton John, James Cleveland & Andy Gibb among others, finally reached his life-long dream of recording his own CD as the lead singer of the group TRUTH INC, recording some of the following: 1) Bring Back the Days 2) Can I Get With You Tonight 3) The Wedding Song 4)Say You Love Me 5) Don’t Leave Me Now and others. Truth INC. was the first R&B group with the newly formed Interscope Records, with Ted Field and Jimmy Iovine. The self-titled CD received rave reviews, which led to his film career, where Derald became the legendary voice of Robert Townsend in the movie “The Five Heartbeats” (We Haven’t Finished Yet).
